Where are our shirts made?

It is hard to find a made in America custom dress shirts under hundred bucks. The higher manufacturing and operating costs invited many offshore suppliers to beat the local manufacturing industry by their low costs. This has led many companies to outsource the manufacturing process to some offshore company. We are not out sourcing but have taken our manufacturing facilities to developing countries to take advantage of low operating costs.

How we are doing with offshore manufacturing?

To keep the quality and standards upright, we are NOT outsourcing our manufacturing to other country. Instead we run, our own managed production facilities in Pakistan (except for our luxury range) under strict quality controlled environments. Our luxury range is made by GAMBERT in NY, USA.

From where do we get our fabrics?

We have a centralized procurement process and purchase first grade fabrics from quality manufacturers in America, Italy, Hong Kong, Malaysia and China. We do make certain tests to be sure the fabric meets the quality and standards. We send these fabrics to our manufacturing facilities.

What we have achieved?

We bring the cost of custom made shirts down to the level of ready-made shirts for North American consumers. Now it is more convenient to buy quality custom shirts in low price and enjoy a high status of clothing. How are the shirts shipped?

We normally ship our shirts from our office in the United States, so you get a local shipping. However for rush and dated orders from other countries, we sometimes ship directly from our manufacturing failities to customers.

Manufacturing in developing countries...How about the working environment?

We indeed have a code of conduct for manufacturing environments. Here is what we do
  1. keep factory premises and surroundings clean and free from pollution of different kinds
  2. provide ventilation and maintain a temperature in the working premises that allows for tolerable working conditions
  3. provide lighting in each workplace sufficient for the work performed
  4. provide ample sanitary facilities that are clean and that employees have access to without unreasonable restrictions
  5. strive to reduce waste and emission to air, ground and water
  6. handle chemicals in a safe way
  7. handle, store and dispose of hazardous waste in an environmentally safe manner
  8. contribute to the recycling and reuse of materials and products

What about human rights?

We respect fundamental human rights and treat our workforce fairly and respectfully. We
  1. We ensure that no child labour is used (child is defined as below 15 years of age or 14 years of age in countries covered by article 2.4 in the ILO convention No. 138)
  2. We provide a healthy and safe work environment
  3. We pay the maximum legal wage (more than what others pay in the same country for the same job), not exceed legal working time limits and compensate for overtime. This has created the trust in our workers and they work with peace of mind and pay special attention to their jobs.
  4. We ensure that all employees are granted their stipulated annual leave as well as sick leave and maternity leave without any form of repercussions
  5. We ensure that no bonded workers, prisoners or illegal workers are used in the production.
  6. We ensure reasonable privacy, quietness and facilities for personal hygiene in those instances where boarding houses or similar are provided by the company.
  7. We ensure that workers employed on contracual basis never be required to remain employed for any period of time against their own will.
  8. We ensure that no corporal punishment or other forms of mental or physical disiplinary actions are being used.
  9. We pay special attention to prevent any sexual harassment as well as any other form of discrimination.
  10. We allow workers to join or associate themselves with any workers' organisation or other legitimate group of their choosing
